Human Trafficking: Strategies for Prevention and Intervention

LOCATION

Phyllis P. Marshall Student Center

Tampa, FL 33620

The USF Department of Global Health in collaboration with the Disaster and Humanitarian Relief (DAHR) Student Collaborative and the FREE Network, we present Human Trafficking: Strategies for Prevention and Intervention.

This event will start with a panel discussion on a whole community approach for looking at anti-human trafficking efforts that are currently taking place. The panel will be moderated by Joanna Winters from the FREE Network where we will have a series of speakers from having a survivor, a community advocate, and a faculty member that specializes in the field of human trafficking.

Following our discussion, we will have facilitated breakout sessions where students, community partners, professionals, and survivors can come together to strategies on action steps to identify prevention and intervention strategies that can establish action steps that encourage innovation and collaboration to protect some of our most vulnerable populations.

This event is free and open to the public. Breakfast will be provided.
