FL Annual Joint Task Force Forum

  • Valencia College School of Public Safety 8600 Valencia Community College Drive Orlando, FL United States (map)

On behalf of the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation and the Tri-County Alliance on Human Trafficking, in partnership with the UCF Center for the Study of Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery, Valencia College’s School of Public Safety, Legal Studies and Education, and the Central Florida Human Trafficking Task Force, we are pleased to invite you and your coalition members to the Florida Annual Joint Task Force Forum.

Since 2013, this statewide forum has brought together law enforcement, government partners, practitioners, advocates, and multidisciplinary professionals to strengthen Florida’s coordinated response to human trafficking. This year’s program will feature updates, emerging trends, and best practices focused on prevention, victim protection and services, investigation, and prosecution.

Our keynote speaker, Alan Wilkett, serves as a Policy Advisor on Human Trafficking for the Office on Trafficking in Persons within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A retired law enforcement officer and former corporal with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Wilkett brings extensive experience strengthening collaboration among law enforcement, task forces, healthcare providers, and other community partners to support victim-centered responses. He will be joined by members of his team from Washington, D.C., to introduce a new resource that will be available at no cost to partners throughout Florida.

Registration is limited to members in good standing of a local human trafficking task force, coalition, or commission, as well as representatives of federal, state, or local governmental agencies.
